Get to Know Me in 7 Fun Facts

  1. During the 90s dot com boom in NYC, I landed my first job at Yahoo! magazine.

    As a creative projects manager for Yahoo! Internet Life, I developed advertiser promotions for brands like Sony and American Express and coordinated a film festival and a music awards show. It’s true, the city never sleeps.

  2. I live in paradise.

    After over 20 years in Maui, Hawaii, I still pinch myself that I get to live in such a special place. The nature. The people. And the shave ice, of course.

  3. I own a tiki bar and restaurant.

    If you find yourself in Kihei, Hawaii, pull up a bar stool.

  4. I edited books in an old plantation house office seated on the slopes of Haleakala.

    In the paniolo town of Makawao, we produced 20 titles a year including a New York Times bestseller. I birthed books from idea to the bookshelf in politics, spirituality, and women kicking ass.

  5. I worked for one of the founders of big wave tow-in surfing.

    Confession: I’m not a surfer. But I did manage global marketing for Pete Cabrinha’s kitesurfing brand.

  6. I’ve wrangled content that asks the question: What makes you feel alive?

    I produced a variety of content at Spirituality & Health: blogs, podcasts, product reviews, online courses, lead magnets, and e-books. I love making things that help people and have a greater purpose.

  7. I purchased a business right before the start of the pandemic.

    In March of 2020, I purchased Maui Family Magazine and shortly thereafter, the world changed. Thankfully, the magazine is thriving and I’m honored to serve the Maui community.
